Alas, wedding season is almost at an end and here we are with yet another fantastic blog! This month we can barely contain our excitement because we have seen many wedding trends over the last few years but rarely does one capture our imagination quite like the latest bridal trend that has been sweeping the run ways of all major bridal shows this year.

When we say “sweeping” that’s exactly what we mean, so we invite you to feast your eyes on the splendor that is the Bridal Cape.

Yes indeed, our collective sighs of complete appreciation says it all, no doubt you like the rest of us are equally impressed with the style innovation and finesse of the bridal cape. Are we ready to kiss goodbye to the traditional wedding veil and lengthy bridal trains? I think we are. Let’s welcome 2017 and say hello to this elegant and utterly refreshing bridal trend.

There is something very regal about this trend and the other really good thing about the bridal cape is the freedom of styling. As a bride you can choose to be as simplistic or extravagant as you like because the bridal cape comes in all shapes and sizes. Many of them are detachable as separates, allowing for a style change during the evening wedding reception. So you get the added benefit of two dresses in one.

In all honesty, we could write an endless blog just gushing about how amazing and how big we think this trend will be in 2017 but we really couldn’t complete our style guide without paying homage to the style icon herself-Solange Knowles, who first debuted the Bridal Cape in her 2014 marriage to Alan Ferguson.
